Using Acrylic Paints For Nail Polish

After you apply the top coat, you can rinse any excess off with water! I went and ran my feet under the water in the bathtub. But make sure all of your nail is covered. I waited til mine were dry to do this.

I've seen on YouTube people using regular acrylic paints, like you'd use on a canvas, for nail polish! I have a lot of little tubes of acrylic paint and I've always wanted to try this and so I finally did. The advantage to this is that it stays wet a long time so you can work slower. If you make a mistake you can easily wipe it off with just water. I put a clear base coat then painted what I wanted and put Sally Hansen's Insta Dri on top. Below you can see how the color changes. I had no idea it was going to do that! I really like it but I can see how it might really mess up a design you worked hard on. So be prepared that the color might change on you.

The 2 pictures show the color difference after I put the top coat on. The right has the top coat.

And below is both with the top coat.

It was very interesting and fun to try out. If you have any acrylic paint give it a try, and feel free to share your pictures with me! :)
