Glutenfri Pebernødder // Gluten Free Danish Peppernuts, With Baker's Ammonia Substitute

*Affiliate links ahead

I've been staying with my grandmother lately to help her out. I wanted her to try these delicious cookies! But she has celiac disease, so I had to figure out a gluten free recipe for her. She does eat wheat on occasion, but she shouldn't. So I didn't want to make her cookies that would just make her sick.

My Toe Nail Was REMOVED! *Graphic Content Warning*

You all might have been wondering where I went, as I haven't posted in a while. Well, I've been pretty busy. I had to have my toenail removed on November 10th! I'll warn you now, I'm including some graphic photos of my toe, so don't look if it might bother you. The photos aren't all that bad, but it's what you might expect, a bloody toe with no toenail.
I'm hoping to bring some awareness with this post, as well as keep everyone updated on me. I'm not wanting to shock or gross anyone out. In fact, I've already helped a woman on my Instagram who was debating if she should go to the doctor. And if you're debating it yourself, the answer is just go!! Better safe than sorry! Even if it turns out to be nothing, you'll be glad you went!

I'm officially DONE with braces!

Goodbye braces! They are, officially, GONE! I'm so happy and relieved. I was getting really sick of them these last few months. I would have gotten them off sooner, but I decided to go on vacation for 3 months this summer so that set it all back a bit.
Keep on reading to hear about how my final appointments went and to possibly learn a little bit about retainers.

I'll be out of town this Halloween visiting family, so I'm not sure how much other Halloween stuff I'll be able to do. I'd been itching for a Halloween design for weeks and finally got around to it! Hope you like it.

And remember, I'm doing a Halloween fan feature this Halloween, so be sure to send in your fall/Halloween nail designs to be featured on the blog!!

2016 Collection Swatches: SinfulColors - Sugar Sugar

This is such a sparkly glittery red. Perfect for Christmas time, or anytime really. It's a big go to color for me as far as the SinfulColors brand goes! It looks amazing just by itself so it's perfect if I'm feeling a bit lazy with my nails. Love this polish!

2016 Collection Swatches: SinfulColors - Dancing Nails

Dancing Nails, a super cute metallic pink. I love the metallic glitter it has. I can't say it's one of my huge favorites, just because of the color, but that's just personal preference of mine!

Drag Marble Fall Nails | Video Tutorial

After being told by multiple people that my Red & Gold Glitter Nails weren't "fall enough", I thought I better try to do something that wouldn't leave anyone guessing as to what theme I was going for! The leaves are so beautiful in my town so I decided on a red, orange, and yellow design. It reminds me of a pile of leaves, and fall camo!

Red & Gold Fall Glitter Nails | Video Tutorial

Fall! One of the best times of the year. We just had our first frost here, the sun is setting later, the leaves are turning reds and yellows, so I was feeling super inspired to do some fall nails! I decided to do something with glitter, just cause!

2016 Collection Swatches: SinfulColors - Let Me Go

I bought Let Me Go because I thought it had a unicorn look to it. The polish in the bottle just looks divine! It's pretty sheer and would make a good overlay top coat. Really gorgeous!!

2016 Collection Swatches: Suncoat - Peacock Blue

This is a pretty old polish my Suncoat. Peacock Blue has to be one of my favorite polish colors! I love blue!
Upon visiting their website I see they've changed the bottle design. It's a non-toxic water based polish. I viewed their 'about us' page and they claim to use vegan ingredients, but in their FAQ it doesn't mention it at all, nor does it mention if they are cruelty free that I could see. So I'm not 100% sure if they really are totally vegan? But I just wanted to point that out for any vegans reading my blog!

Swirly Drag Marble Flowers | Video Tutorial

Drag marbling is so fun and easy. I'm just addicted lately! I got two Essie polishes a few months ago. They're red and pink so I thought they'd go great together! People keep sending me little drag marble compilation videos so I was feeling super inspired. I made a video tutorial this time! Let me know what you think! It's only my second video tutorial, I think it's much better than my first one, but you be the judge!

Polishes Used:

Essie - With The Band (Red)
Essie - Cascade Cool (Pink)

How To:

Start with your base color. You can do 2 coats if the polish you're using is thin. If you do this, let the first coat dry and then start the next step with your 2nd coat of fresh wet polish.

While the red polish is still wet add three dots of pink quickly. Drag marbling is done on very wet nail polish. I put a big dot in the middle of the nail and two smaller ones at the tip and base.

Use a dotting tool, needle, tooth pick, etc and swirl through the polish in any pattern you like. For this design I took a dotting tool and dragged it into the dot with a curving motion. Then I picked up my tool and started a new line into the dot still doing a curving motion. The dotting tool picked up some of the pink polish and that's what makes the little pink rounded spike things on the outside of the swirls.

Honestly, this was pretty confusing to try and type out. I really hope it made sense and I made the video tutorial just for this reason! Hope you guys aren't too confused!

I also want to invite you guys to come join a new Facebook group that I just became admin for. It's Nailart Adventures on Facebook! We have contests occasionally and it's ever growing with new members all the time.

I'm also introducing a YouTube new playlist with all my nail tutorials to make it easy to find them all. Right now I only have 2 but I plan to make lots more!

Have you gotten into drag marbling lately too? Send me your pictures for a possible shout out on my social media accounts! ❤❤
