Pink & Red Polka Dot Nails

I think this is a really great design for Valentine's Day. It's so easy and quick to do the dots, and it's super cute!

Polish Used

Confetti - First kiss
OPI - The Trill of Brazil

It's really worth investing in some dotting tools for designs like this. It just makes it so much easier. I made sure to get some that had different sizes on both ends. I had noticed bad reviews on some of them that were saying they bought 5 tools but both ends were the same size. So be careful about that when making your purchase. I bought a set of 5 tools but got 10 different dot sizes.

If you want the exact ones I bought you can purchase them here:

2016 Collection Swatches: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blizzard Blue

Looking for new content for my blog, I've decided to swatch my entire polish collection. It's mostly just for fun and to show you all what polishes I have and like. First in this series will be Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Blizzard blue! Once I get through all these I'll just be swatching new polishes. Hopefully I can finish by the end of the year! I have so many!!

I'd say you need 2-3 coats for this color to not be transparent. It depends how thick of a coat you put on of course. I've been trying to do light coats lately to help drying time.

One coat

Two coats

I made it a little thick on my ring finger, sorry about that!

In A Design

I'll only be including these type of pictures if I've already used the polish in a previous design. I may update older posts with designs later on. I'm not sure what I want to do there yet.

For full details on this look visit this link

I hope you all enjoy these posts. Let me know if you have any specific polish you'd like to see me swatch!

Valentine's Drag Marble Nails

I came across this video and it just looked so easy and cute. I planned to do something totally different but ended up doing almost her exact design because the pink polish I had chosen (probably because it's old but I don't have many pinks to choose from..) wasn't cooperating with this technique. I also filed my nails to do a different design, but didn't end up doing that either.

Here's her video, and what I ended up with.

Polish Used

Orly - White tips
SinfulColors - Sugar Sugar
Confetti - First Kiss (Only used on my middle finger)
Sally Hansen - Instadri top coat

My Thoughts

You need to work a little fast with drag marbling. I think it would help to use a polish that stays wet longer. And you don't want to use too much pressure while dragging or you'll scrape the base color off and down to your bare nail. I used a toothpick but you can use just about anything around that size or smaller. It's taken me many attempts with this technique to actually get something decent, so be patient and don't give up! It's so easy once you get the hang of it!

I hope y'all liked this design. Feel free to share pictures with me if you try it!
Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

My Christmas & New Year's 2015

I wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a great Christmas! Mine was really nice.

My Presents

I got lots of lovely gifts. I apologize to anyone who's gift I didnt photograph. I've already been using many of them (the clothes mostly) so that's why!

Pusheen unicorn plush. It has a clip so I put it on my camera bag, it's super cute!
Tokidoki Unicorno series 4, Latte. It was one of those little boxes with the random figure. I'm always nervous to get that type of thing but I think now I may have to start getting them. It's just so much fun!
Burt's Bees tinted lip balm in rose. I'll definitely have to post me wearing this later.
Crave Naturals glass nail files.

Pop-arazzi glitter polishes. I tried the green and I love it. I'll have to do a post about these.

Ficcare Maximas clips, enamel Ivory Lotus and acetate Amethyst Snake, both in size large.

Comfort Zone oscillating heater.

Joe Boxer cat ear robe with cute kitty slippers.

Cool Gear 21oz light up cup.
The ornament at the bottom lights up, which you can see in the picture above where I'm holding it. I've also got video of it flashing on my Instagram.
Like I did, you're probably wondering how do you wash a cup with such a feature? Well, the bottom screws off! Super easy.
It takes one of those little round watch batteries (not sure which kind but it says on the bottom of the cup) and it has lasted a surprisingly long time, in my opinion. It was on all day Christmas day, New Year's Eve (I even fell asleep with it on.. Oops!) and New Year's Day, and a few days in between because I just love this cup! I plan to use it all year round.

A super cute peace sign quilt set with 2 pillow cases. The underside is very soft and I love the stitching!

Last, but certainly not least, a Canon SX530 HS with accessory kit! The camera itself came with a lens cap, neck strap, and a battery with a wall charger. The kit came with a tripod with carrying bag, 32gb sd card, LCD screen protectors, 5 piece cleaning kit, sd card storage thing, a padded camera bag with a strap third party battery with charger for the wall, car, and came with a european plug converter.

I plan to do a full review on this camera once I've better learned it's features and have gotten a good variety of pictures. For now I will include a few pictures taken with it. Actually most of the pictures in this post were taken with this camera. All except the mirror picture of me and the picture of my quilt. Though the pillow cases were photographed with the Canon. Of course the picture of the camera itself was taken with my phone. I think the picture of the genuine battery with the third party battery was taken with my phone as well.

Click pictures to view the full size. These are all from my Instagram. I'll post unedited pictures in my full review, so stay tuned.

Christmas Eve

We got all our presents set out for Christmas Day and ate crackers and Hickory Farms. Some friends came over to hang out. They even brought us some presents as we didn't plan on going to their house on Christmas.

Santa Cinnamon and I sitting on the couch.

Our Christmas tree and some of our presents set out.

Christmas Day

Right after I had come downstairs. They were making me laugh.

Opening some presents. They piled them all on top of me in my chair!

Getting ready to go to our friend's house.

The first picture taken on my new camera! (These ones are unedited)

The second!

Third. So sweet. :)

Taking a picture of me taking a picture of her. Hahaha. You can see some of Christmas dinner over on the table. That's really the only pictures I got of it.

After dinner some friends went home and we stayed to play Zombie-opoly. It was so much fun!

New Year's

My New Year's Eve was a bit uneventful. I was house/dog sitting for my friends so I was by myself. I ended up falling asleep around 10:30pm! I couldn't believe it! On New Year's Day we went to the same friend's house as on Christmas and had dinner and played Cards Against Humanity. That was so much fun!

Since I didn't post as much as I would have liked in 2015, my resolution is to post more here this year. My goal will be to post around 4 times a month. We'll see how well I do, especially if I get so busy again.
