One of the first things on my list when I arrived in Denmark was to get some nail polish. I didn't bring any with me to save space for the massive amount of American goodies I was bringing for my in-laws. I wanted to make sure I fit everything I bought for them!! Seriously, half of both my bags were just full of snacks!
So in the first few weeks of being here we bought some polish. I looked for brands I hadn't seen before. I saw this Depend polish. I wanted something more unusual and these seemed perfect. It's from Sweden, so I'll likely never see it back home anyways! And it was much cheaper than many of the usual brands like Essie or OPI, which I love but I can get them much cheaper back home.
Just the other day I came up with this design. The colors go great together. The color in the bottle is exactly the color on my nails. Sometimes polish can look a bit different on the nail but these are true to their color! I like that.
I prefer the hand with 3 purple nails but 3 blue nails looks fine too. I'm really liking the mirrored design I chose. The closest I can get to proper 'nail art' without my usual supplies!
I chose colors 455 and 442. I can't find any color name on them but I tried a google search for the numbers and lots of results came up, so I think it's alright! It seems like a popular brand! Back home if they only have a number it's usually a very cheap polish. I found this polish to be quality though. It has a nice wide flat brush. I've found these to be the best to apply nail polish with. So smooth and generally they're made of a nicer material that doesn't leave lines through the applied nail polish. I'm pretty impressed!
Depend 455 is kind of a glittery/shimmery polish. I can't quite tell how glittery it really is. It doesn't seem like a normal glitter polish but it's very sparkly. I guess I'll find out when I go to remove it!
The purple color is absolutely stunning and the sparkles make it just that much better!
Depend 442 is a nice turquoise kind of blue. Very much on the bluer side of turquoise. Basically my favorite color!
It has a nice shimmer to it. It's kind of a light blue green shimmer maybe? It's not anywhere near 455 in sparkles but with a few coats the shimmer really comes through!
Hope you enjoyed this little review of these lovely Swedish polishes! I wish it were available in the US!!
